If anyone is interested in migrating their ISC store to CS-Cart, please get in touch.
All of the issues reported by mardukeme have either been resolved, or he missed the functions in CS-Cart because they have been there for at least 2 years now.
Round up, round up.

Re: Evaluation: Moving to CS-Cart... Possibly
I know I've not been on this forum for many months (years?!) now, simply because, like they did to us, I ditched ISC altogether.
Now developing with CS-Cart and it's substantially better than it is given the credit for. Yes, there's a few bugs, like everything. I was with Interspire for quite a ...

Re: cs-cart the next best thing?
Just thought I'd update this.
With regards to the points Snooper made, they are largely irrelevent.
Things like multiple currencies not auto-updating. ISC never had this functionality until a 3rd party coded the addon, now the software has a built-in function for auto-updating currency rates. CS ...

Re: Magento
CS-Cart Ultimate...take a look, does the multiple store fronts with one back-end perfectly well.
Will be launching my first CS-Cart Ultimate store in the not so distant future. Must admit I've been impressed with what it can do even though we're only on the first public release (v3.0.1).

Re: Zoom function for CS-Cart and ?? Carts
Magic Zoom works just fine. See my sig for an ex-ISC site which is now CS-Cart with Magic Zoom installed. Works fine, although the new CS-Cart v3 has this functionality (and much more) built in. CS-Cart is definitely on the up, conversion from ISC to CS-Cart wasn't too difficult, rather tedious and ...

Re: Magento
Magento is certainly capable and to be honest, I would not advise anyone to use it without php knowledge.
The template system is powerful and fully functional, but is a bit more technical than other template systems I've used. The documentation, especially community produced, is excellent - I think ...

Re: [FYI] CS-Cart Announces "Multi-Vendor" Edition
I've tried using Cart2Cart for ISC > Magento and ISC > CS-Cart, both demo's produced horrible transfer data - I contacted support numerous times and received a poorly written reply which was barely understandable - that was about 12-18 months ago. Not sure if anything has changed, but in the end, I ...

See Magento - this functionality is already there.bart wrote:I'll second this. It would be great if we could have multiple store fronts on different domains all feeding into the same back end.

Re: What it doesn't do/have or do well...
6. [BENEFIT] Community edition ($0.00) virtually on a par with ISC Starter edition ($299?). Even CS-Cart Multi Vendor comes in lower than ISC Professional.
