Re: Prestashop

ISC is now completely unsupported. No security fixes, no new features. Security vulnerabilities are now being found in many eCommerce systems and need to be continually plugged. Interfaces with payment gateways need to be kept current as does any interface with a third-party. ISC was falling behind ...

Re: Magento

Magento is probably the best piece of eCommerce software on the market now - and the speed of development on the platform is getting faster and faster. One word of caution... Do not use it if you are planning on building the site yourself (for store owners). You will need an accredited developer who...

Re: cs-cart the next best thing?

We had a detailed look at CS-Cart and especially the ability to set up multiple stores with a single back-end (not multi-vendor). Although initially promising lots of 'holes' started to appear in the coding and ultimately felt like it was hobbyist software. Since then we have commissioned a store to...

Re: Well?

Just about to launch our first CS cart store - will share with you (hopefully next week) when ready. Don't want to say too much before we properly test the store under live conditions but all has gone swimmingly well so far. They have shot ahead of ISC with functionality (and most of their new featu...

They are launching a multi-store version which allows you as many front ends as you want with one order management system. With each store you can have a completely different d...

Re: [FYI] CS-Cart Announces "Multi-Vendor" Edition

Always room for a multi-vendor system. We built one about 8 years ago for hand crafted goods where each 'craftsperson' managed their own back-end. What will make them money is a multiple fronted system with the same engine. The ability to have multiple stores each branded differently, with different...

CS - CART - Thoughts here...

CS-Cart has always been on the radar. They have always had a loyal following although like every eCommerce software solution - it isn't perfect. They have just released 2.2.1 which is a big improvement on the previously poor admin interface. Discuss away!

Re: so what's the plan

Martin do we need an 'official' thread where everyone can contribute to their findings with other carts?

Would be sensible to collate the collective knowledge...
