Re: Product Review Emails

Hi Markjs! I'm sorry I don't have any answers on how to automate the process you've described... but I did want to let you know that I really like your idea of using status-changes to manually generate an email. I agree it's an imperfect solution... but I'd never thought of it... and it's an idea th...

For all practical purposes, yes. But what about the ones who renewed their support for one final year... are they actually getting what they paid for?

Spotted In ISC Forum: "Bit-Cart" ... an ISC Clone?

I spotted a post over at the ISC forum. Someone posted this link to "Bit-Cart". When viewing the admin demo pages, it appears to be a clone of ISC. http://www.bit-cart.com/shopping-cart-live-demo.html Is this blatant code-theft?, piracy/reselling?, licensed?, a shadow-subsidiary?, or simpl...

Why Does ISC Use Four Decimal Places?

It's something I've always wondered about. Is there a practical reason why all of the prices (and many other numeric values) are saved in the database with 4 decimal places? For example: "9.9500" instead of "9.95" Is this an industry standard that Interspire was following? Or is ...

Re: View Order Details - URL

That appears to be the exact coordinates of the click-event whenever someone clicks on a submit-IMAGE (as opposed to an actual HTML button). There are legitimate uses for it, but I can't imagine any reason that this would be needed in ISC.

Re: Interspire finally admit what we've known for years

My favorite quote so far: IE9+ is not officially supported by Shopping Cart. Workaround readily available - customers should use compatibility mode in IE 9 or Firefox or Chrome instead. Or maybe this one... IE hasn't been the most popular in awhile. I can't decide which one I like best. ~~ In any ca...

Re: Update TinyMCE in ISC

Yep... my old workhorse version 4.07 (plus thousands of hours of tweaks and updates) is still cranking away with the clunky Devedit. It's fine for now, but it's not without its issues. ~ If there had been a step-by-step on how to update, I'd find the time to get it done. But for now, I just don't ha...

Re: Update TinyMCE in ISC

Have there been any discussions (perhaps with cookbook instructions) that explain whether or not it's possible to update the old Devedit with TinyMCE?

Re: jQzoom & Safari not working properly.

Got it! The problem is caused by enabling 'AdBlock' safari extension... Glad you figured it out... I had a similar problem that baffled me for DAYS! My ad-blocking feature was configured to block any image that contained "banner" in the filename. In general this works fine... but only whe...

Re: [Work Around] Images Not Being Deleted...

Just a guess... but would the php "flush()" function help with getting information pushed out to the browser? Here's the info on how to use it (along with info on its limitations, and explanations of how the results may vary on different browsers.) http://www.php.net/manual/en/function.flu...
