Just noticed something horrible with bigcommerce. Even though you use your own domain name, BC serves up images using their own URL. This is really bad for SEO and image searches. If someone does a google image search and finds and clicks on your image, it'll take them to bigcommerce's site. Just awful

you should see the hash it makes of the image name as well

yeah, i noticed that too. My image name is still in the file name so I guess it's not too big of a deal. I have to take back part of what I said, clicking on the image in a google search does bring you to the correct website, not bigcommerce. Still, if I use my own domain, I expect images to be using it as well. I don't think I'll be sticking with BC for too long. Can't stand their forums either, forcing you to use your real name and unable to remove store url from their ideas site. Annoying
