Code for Add to Cart

I'm trying to add an add to cart button on my products listed on my home page like my featured products. I realize if i have variations, then I can only have one link and that to the variations page but I want to put two links there. One for Add to Cart and one for Choose Options. Is there a way i can customize this code to be able to add 1 qty of that product and bypass the choose options?

Something like that would require custom mod work to allow the selection of default options for a product to even be able to start thinking about what you're after.

That's a pretty big hunk of work and I'm not aware of anyone who has even looked to see if it is possible.
