Shipping Module producing Strange Characters - Shopping Cart Community : Forum Archive

We have ISC shopping cart 6.0.14

Our shipping module for usps has some strange character showing as seen below (I realize these are formatting characters, but most unattractive and really shouldn't be there). Would like to get that fixed. was in languages/en/ini and everything appeared okay there...is there somewhere else that this could be coming from...All assistance si greatly appreciated. An upgrade to 6.1.1 fixed it for us. Basically, the postal service changed the data their rate servers are returning and added some extra garbage. If you want to fix it yourself instead of upgrading you'll need to debug the data you're getting back from the rate quote servers and change the code to strip out the extra stuff yourself.

I am on the same exact 6.0.14 version. Do you mind sharing how you fixed it?
